By recommendation of our incredible mentor in small farming, we will be offering a CSA ‘Trial Share’ this year since we will be asking again in October and November for commitments for the 2015 season. How will you know if you want to try it next year if you haven’t gotten a taste of this year’s deliciousness??
Here’s how it works.
1. Purchase a ‘trial share’ upfront by March 15th, 2014. It is for a 10 lb. basket for 4 weeks at $100 ($10 more than committing to the full season). —And yes, of course we will give you 2 weeks of a 20 lb. basket, or 8 weeks of a 5 lb. basket–
2. Redeem your Trial Share any week of the season. For example, if you are considering a full membership but not sure what to think about the program, we encourage you to pickup between May 24th and June 25th, 2014. If you are growing your own garden, vacation a lot, or simply not sure what you will consume, you can select random weeks throughout the season. This is a great option for you to experience the variety between spring, summer and fall harvest and have a good sampling of the variables in order to commit to a full membership for 2015.
3. If you decide a full season fits your needs for 2014, your trial share cost will be applied toward a full season membership fee that gets prorated for remaining pickup dates.
To participate, request a 2014 CSA Membership agreement via email to firstname.lastname@example.org, fill out the last page, return it with your $100 deposit by March 15, 2014 and mark CSA Trial Share at the bottom of the page.
