Smoothie Heaven

photo (12)Smoothies provide so much: wonderful flavors, servings of fruit, and cool refreshment…but most of all, NUTRIENTS! Smoothies do it all, and many are low-calorie so you can stick to your diet goals. Also added protein and vitamin-loaded vegetables to a few healthy smoothie recipes to help you get the most benefit from your beverage.  There are endless possibilities of smoothie recipes but I am going to share my personal favorites! (which I made this morning) =)

  • 2 bananas
  • 1/2 cup almond milk
  • handful of blueberries
  • spoonfuls of coconut butter (or coconut flakes, but I prefer butter because of the consistency)
  • spoonfull of peanut butter
  • couple tbls of Flax seed or Chia seed
  • a little ice

Come by Grateful Plains this week and pick up organic fruits, veggies, seeds, and more to make your smoothie as refreshing and yummy as possible! Would love to hear your recipe ideas!
